Up to these days, Bogota has had a Model United Nations called "SIMONU" and in the FITS we're starting with the FITSMUN - Model United Nations project where some private and public schools qualify students to participate in this academic exercise keeping in mind that you're learning about politics, society, cultural issues, and the most important thing: HOW TO SOLVE OUR CONFLICTS BETWEEN COUNTRIES AND HOW TO HELP TO THE PEACE BUILDING IN ALL OVER THE WORLD!
Not only is to speak about random topics but also to improve your skills in argumentative thinking, oratory, speech and comprenhension of our reality making and offering solutions.
Now! Here we have a MUN Guide based on the original MUN made in Harvard University! This guide is perfect for you as Delegates. Be focus on the procedures, motions, points, and write questions if you have one about it! (Later I'll tell you about MUN History)
Finally, you can see this example of simulation made in Medellín! You can also watch several videos of simulations in all over the world in order to get familiar with your role as Delegate and also with the proposal of our Social Studies class with the topic of DEMOGRAPHY!

a. Research and choose population pyramids of three countries. After that DRAW THEM/MAKE A GRAPHIC OF THEM in your notebook and clasify them in on of the three categories saw them in class.
b. Explain by real examples why some countries have lower or higher natality/mortality or why they have more and less people by gender?
c. Research ¿What's Demographic Transition? and build a conceptual map according to that topic.
d. Clasify each one of the pyramids that you chose in first activity in the stages of the Demographic Transition. Justify your answer.
